Directions:Open tea bag. Inhale the aroma of the chai. Smile. Add two cups of hot water to your tea kettle and heat for a few minutes until steam and small bubbles appear. Boiling water is not necessary for seeping tea, and can burn the leaves, causing a bitter flavor. Plus, it takes longer to cool.
Pout hot water into mug and steep tea bag for 3-5 minutes (or longer) to ensure you have harvested all of the goodness of the herbs and spices.

Add ice to a heat proof insulated tumbler (Target has a great selection). Squeeze tea bag to get every last drop before placing in trash or compost.
Carefully pour tea over ice. Add a splash (or more) of your favorite non-dairy milk. Hemp, soy, and hazelnut all work great. Almond, rice, and oat are slightly thinner, but still do the trick! Look for unsweetend, organic versions free of carrageenan. I stock up on brands that are on sale.
